This policy concerns the PRIMES Inform mobile app, the drought information
app of the PRIMES project, co-funded by the European Union through the
Interreg IPA ADRION Programme. Package name and bundle identifier:
com.primes.droughtalert
Last updated: 30 September 2026
The app is published and operated by PMGTEC srl, which acts as data controller for the data described here. For questions about this policy or to exercise the rights listed below, write to applicazioni@pmgtec.it.
The privacy policy of the project website, published by the Programme, is a separate document and is available at primes-drought.com/privacy. It concerns visitors to that website and does not cover the app.
| Data | Why |
|---|---|
| Your email address and an account identifier | An account is required to receive drought alerts. You create it with an email address and a password, or by signing in with a Google account. Authentication is provided by Google Firebase Authentication. |
| The notification token of your device, and the type of operating system | It is what allows an alert to reach your device, and it is used for nothing else. Delivery is provided by Google Firebase Cloud Messaging. |
| The pilot area you select | It determines the language of the app, the alert levels, the water restrictions and the documents shown to you, and which alerts you receive. It is stored on your device and on our servers. |
That is all. The app does not collect your location, does not track what you do, contains no advertising and no analytics, and does not build profiles.
Your data are processed solely to provide the alert service you asked for, which is the performance of the service you signed up to (Art. 6(1)(b) of Regulation (EU) 2016/679, GDPR).
Your data are stored on Google Cloud infrastructure located in the
European Union (Firebase Authentication, Firestore and Cloud Run, region
europe-west8, Milan). Google processes them on our behalf
and under our instructions, as a data processor.
Your data are not sold, and are not shared with third parties for their own purposes. Documents published in the app are files served to you; no data about you is sent to the organisations that produced them.
Until you delete your account. There is no additional retention period. You can delete the account at any time from inside the app, under SOS and contacts, and the deletion removes your account, your notification token and your selected area from our systems. The procedure is described at account and data deletion.
You may ask for access to your data, for their rectification or erasure, for the restriction of their processing, and for their portability, and you may object to the processing. Write to applicazioni@pmgtec.it. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority.
If this policy changes, the new version is published on this page and the date above is updated.
